Tabernacle Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Bible believing, Baptist Church. We make no apologies for standing solely on the Word of God.
Most Baptist churches are trying to be anything but Baptist and in most cases they are even removing the word “Baptist” from their name. We are proud of our heritage and want to remain a Baptist church. Christian is not a popular term in the news media nor in many circles but we are not dropping that association with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He gave his life for us and we want to bear that name proudly. “Baptist” to us it means, the Holy Bible is our authority, Jesus Christ is our head, God is our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit our indwelling guide and comforter. It means we are to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbor better than ourselves. “If the Bible says it then I believe it,” is our philosophy.
Jesus our Lord and Savior gave us a specific command to reach the world by beginning in our own backyard and reaching out to our community, county, state and country. It does not end there as we support missionaries to many countries around the world. We are passionate about ministry because our Lord was. We have but a short time to complete our mission!
Our desire is to have a testimony in our community as a church that cares and does not have to compromise on who we are to do it. We love our community and our country. We love and pray for the brave men and women who risk their lives and in some case lay them down for our freedom and safety. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.”
